Whilst Google Trends can be useful for many things we thought it might be interesting to see what the UK’s search activity might say about who’s most likely to win the coming election on Thursday 7th May.
Obviously just because people are searching for a particular candidate doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re going to vote for them, but it’s surely indicative of the nation’s interests and curiosity to say the least.
Without further ado I present to you the results of the last 12 months search activity within the UK:
Key: David Cameron Edward Miliband Nick Clegg Nigel Farage Nicola Sturgeon
So clearly in the last couple of weeks Ed Miliband is at least doing something to make more people look him up on Google. Whether that will translate into votes on 7th May – only time will tell!
